A man has been charged with a range of offences after three people died in a car crash in remote Central Australia.

It is alleged Garth Ngalkin, 26, was driving towards the remote community of Hermannsburg when he rolled the car, killing three passengers instantly. Police say they had been pursuing the car on Saturday night after the car failed to pull over. Officers say they aborted the chase after it reached high speed but later found the car on its roof about 40 kilometres away. Two women aged 26 and 32 had been thrown from the car and a 30-year-old man was left trapped in the vehicle. All three died at the scene.
